Margin Master
Settings folder repair dialog with automatic permission fix
Shipped in Margin Master 2026.904.35423 · September 5, 2026
When Windows blocks Margin Master from saving settings files, the app now shows what's blocked, explains the impact, and provides a "Fix This Now" button that grants the needed permission automatically. A title-bar indicator stays visible until the folder is repaired, and only files the app actually writes trigger the alert.
What changed
When the settings folder alert appears, click "Fix This Now" and choose "Yes" at the Windows prompt — Margin Master will grant the permission and tell you to restart. If you'd rather have your IT department handle it, "Copy Details" gives them everything they need.
You'll only see the settings folder alert when a file Margin Master actually uses is blocked — old files left behind from previous versions won't trigger it anymore.
If the settings folder is blocked, a red "Settings Cannot Be Saved" marker stays in the title bar at the top of the window until you fix it — click it to bring up the repair dialog again.
