Margin Master

Fixed broken installs being unable to report themselves

Shipped in Margin Master 2026.911.40037 · September 12, 2026

Resolved three critical gaps that prevented a store with an uninstalled or broken SQL Server from submitting a support issue: the Submit Issue wizard now prompts for store identity when no database is available, uninstall warnings now properly alert users to restart before reinstalling, and Support Scripts has been restored to the main menu.

What changed

Submit Issue can now work without a database

If Margin Master can't reach its database, Submit Issue will now ask you to confirm your store number and vendor. The app verifies this with our servers before using it, so you can safely report SQL Server problems even when the database is completely gone.

SQL Server uninstall now warns to restart before reinstalling

When you uninstall a SQL Server instance, the app now clearly warns if Windows needs a restart to finish the removal, and tells you to restart BEFORE installing SQL Server again—installing on top of a pending restart is the most common reason SQL setup fails.

Support Scripts restored to File > Utilities menu

Support Scripts is back in the File > Utilities menu where the documentation points, and entering the wrong password now tells you so instead of doing nothing.
