Shipped in Margin Master 2026.1009.37496 · October 10, 2026

Added a comprehensive True Value Store Assessment tool that analyzes a new True Value store's current pricing position, compares all available pricing options with their financial impacts, and creates a customized starting strategy based on the store's ranked objectives and constraints.

What changed

True Value Store Assessment screen and workflow

When setting up a new True Value store, go to Strategy › Strategy Utilities › True Value Store Assessment. Set your goals (minimize changes, protect margin, etc.) and any hard rules (no decreases, margin must not drop), then run the assessment. It shows where your prices stand today, compares every program option with the yearly dollar impact of each, and recommends plans ranked by your goals. Pick a plan and create your starting strategy from it.

Assessment-driven strategy creation with pack-size protection

The strategy created from an assessment holds pack-size items (like items sold each but listed by the box) at their current prices automatically, so they won't be mispriced. Review the pack-size list in the assessment and adjust those items manually.

Best-fit program detection with tie-breaking rules

The assessment automatically finds which True Value program your prices follow (Level 1, 1.5, or 2) by comparing your current prices against each level. You can override this if you know which program you were on.

Interactive questions for uncertain or blocking conditions

If your data is unclear (like prices fitting two levels equally), the assessment asks you to confirm which program you were on. Answer the questions and click Recalculate to see updated recommendations.

Selection field validation before strategy creation

If you try to create a strategy that uses departments or awareness codes, Margin Master checks that your selection boxes show those fields (like DIB_Taxonomy1 or PricingStrategy). Add any missing fields in View Manager, or create just the base step.
