Store Assessment: Simple/Advanced views, multi-step plans with clear names and tooltips

Shipped in Margin Master 2026.1009.37496 · October 10, 2026

The True Value Store Assessment now offers Simple and Advanced views, generates six to eight multi-step pricing plans with descriptive names (e.g., "Fewest changes," "Best value per change"), and displays step names that explain what each strategy does. Steps now select on taxonomy descriptions stores already have, with improved tooltips throughout.

What changed

Simple and Advanced view toggle

You can now switch between Simple view (one plan at a time with the essentials) and Advanced view (all the detailed tabs) using the View selector at top right.

Multi-step pricing plans with clear descriptions

Instead of just showing department-based variations, you now see multiple complete pricing approaches (like "Fewest changes" or "Best value per change") with explanations of what each one does, so you can pick the approach that fits your store.

Descriptive strategy and step names

Strategy names now tell you what they do at a glance, like "TV 1.5 Fewest Changes 2026-10-09," and step names are shorter and clearer, like "TV L1.5 All" or "TV L2 D: Interior Paint, Brushes +2."

Steps select on taxonomy descriptions

Created strategies now use the taxonomy description boxes you already have (like "Interior Paint" or "Brushes"), so they load without needing to add new selection boxes. When a name appears in multiple departments, the step shows which department it means.

Enhanced tooltips and help text

Hover over any goal, rule, or button to see a tooltip explaining what it means and what it does. The create button now shows detailed text about what strategy will be created and the next steps to take.
